@Evan
Hi Evan, thanks for the question! I personally have zero direct experience with the Dymaxion schedule. From my research however, (and partially in my experience as well) the less overall sleep you are getting, the more strict you need to be to hit your nap times, *and* the more important it is that they are spaced out evenly. With 4 naps in a day (and no core) the spacing should be on average every six hours. You certainly average out to that spacing, however the 11 hour gap from 3pm to 2am (during your work shift), to me, is cause for great concern. I don't mean to discourage you; the only way to know for sure is to give it a try. I do however suspect it will be a significant challenge. I'd be excited to hear how it goes if you wind up attempting it.

@J-Sargeant
Thanks for the question. As far as I can remember, I didn't notice a change in muscle recovery while on a napping schedule. However I would also like to note that there was never a period where I was working out near as much as daily or bi-daily, so it is definitely difficult to be sure.

Hey andrew - I'm thinking of trying the "Dymaxion" polyphasic sleep schedule. 4x30 min naps throughout the day. I work on a schedule of 4 PM to 1 AM. I was curious whether or not this schedule would work, and I'd still achieve it properly:

2 AM
7 AM
11 AM
3 PM

Hey just had a question. I workout on a daily to bi-daily basis and wonder if you feel like musscle recovery happens even with the naps. Thanks

One thing I do that works really well is to close my eyes, look slightly cross-eyed and upwards, and move my eyes a little while trying to find patterns in the "red soup". All these movements are small and gentle and with them I try to induce REM sleep.

Once you see a pattern just let it evolve on its own, just observe. I've had times that I thought "this is pointless, I'm too awake" and a minute later it starts happening.

For me, first I see vague movements, and then suddenly I'll see "foreground scenes" in full color. If I don't think about it I'll fall asleep, if I'm startled I'll be awake again.
