To give you a quick summary of how my first 7 days of the sleep schedule went, I put together the following information:

Core Sleep Hrs

  • Night 0 - 4.5 hrs
  • Night 1 - 4.5 hrs
  • Night 2 - 4.5 hrs
  • Night 3 - 4.5 hrs
  • Night 4 - 5.5 hrs
  • Night 5 - 6.5 hrs
  • Night 6 - 3.0 hrs

Average = 4.7 hrs / night

4.7 hrs + (3 naps x 20 min*) = 5.7 hrs sleep / day

*approimated factoring quality of naps and one skipped nap (Day 4)

Overall I’ve been a little tired at times, but not much more so than if I had slept 6.5 -7 hrs a night for a few days. I’d consider this a sucessful week and a good foundation for the 3 hour core schedule I started last night.
